Brayan represents Sri Lanka at inaugural Olympic Esports

Brayan Perera, representing Sri Lanka and the Ceylon Motor Sports Club, qualified for the finals in the inaugural Olympic Esports Series scheduled to be held in Singapore on 25 June 2023.
As the first Sri Lankan, he will compete the Esports Week under the motorsports category.


Brayan has been racing since 2007. He started out in karts and moved on to compete in the Formula McLarens 1300 LGB and the following year he won the Formula EFI championship and later moved on to winning the Formula Junior Championship and finished 4th in the Formula BMW in India as the only Sri Lankan driver to win in the premier motorsports event.

Brayan is also part of the BKMS racing team. The team has competed in the most endurance-karting tournaments in the country and has been on the top step of the podium on a number of occasions.

The Olympic Esports Series 2023 – a global virtual and simulated sports competition, and the first-ever Olympic Esports Week will be held from 22 to 25 June in Singapore.


A total of over 160,000 competitors registered online for the qualifier globally, while Brayan qualified as the fastest driver, from the CMSC driver lineup, and will represent the CMSC at finals in Singapore, competing against 32 of the world’s fastest drivers.


An old boy of Gateway College Colombo currently Brayan is an Automobile Engineering final year undergraduate at RMIT University in Melbourne.
