Participatory planning workshop on court automation project

ICT Agency of Sri Lanka together with Ministry of Justice completed 2nd successful Participatory Planning Workshop on court automation project. The main objective of this workshop was to record and discuss the main challenges and risks of the court automation project and the expectation of the proposed system users.

The automation of the Courts systems in Sri Lanka with digital solutions is a long-felt need. With the approval of the Cabinet Ministers, an MOU signed between MOJ, MOT, JSC and ICTA. This project aims to implement a state-of-the-art ICT based court management system in 100 courthouses in Sri Lanka. The main objective of this project is to Improve efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and public confidence of the court system in Sri Lanka through establishing a state-of-the-art ICT based court management system in 100 court houses.

Hon .Ali Sabri, Minister of Justice, Hon. Justice S. Thurairaja, Judge of the Supreme Court, Hon. Justice K.P. Fernando, Judge of the Court of Appeal, and several high court judges, district court judges, Magistrates, Court staff including Chief registrars participated in this workshop.
