Woodworking courses honed by the latest technology

While improving the timber technician course at the Pahala Yagoda Regional Center owned by the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka with advanced technology, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed yesterday (14), under the patronage of State Minister of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation, Dr. Seetha Arambepola, between Leema Creations (Pvt) Ltd and the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA) with the aim of providing up-to-date training and job security for the students.

Accordingly, all students pursuing the timber course will become permanent employees of Leema after completing their vocational education and training. Chairman of Lemma Channa Wijesekera unveiled the book titled ‘Lee Wada Prayogika Padamala’ and presented it to the State Minister. Secretary to the Ministry of State, Deepa Liyanage, Chairman of VTA, Eranga Basnayake, Deputy Chairman Mahesh Ariyaratne, Chariman of Leema Creations (Pvt) Ltd Channa Wijesekera and Managing Director Shamika Wijesekera were present at the occasion.
