Help Icon organization donates medical equipment to Maharagama Apeksha Hospital and Katuwana District Hospital today (02) under the patronage of Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control at the Health Ministry.
Medical equipment including a patient care chair for patients those who undergone surgery and multipara monitors and patient monitors for patient care were donated at the event.
A patient chair for the patients undergoing surgery at the Surgical Unit of the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital was handed over by the Chairman of the Help Icon, Priyadarshana Bentotaarachchi to the Director of the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital, Dr. Vijith Gunasekera and measures were taken to provide a Multipara Monitor to Katuwana hospital for patients receiving treatment at the Hospital.
According to a request made by the Katuwana Hospital from the Minister, two more Multipara monitors were provided by the Biomedical Division. The value of the donations made here is close to one million rupees.
Thusitha Jayawardena, General Secretary of Help Icon and Gayan Hewanayake, Deputy Secretary of Help Icon were also present at the occasion.
